As children progress through daycare and preschool, parents often wonder if their child’s development is on track or if they are experiencing challenges or delays.
We’re offering a speech therapy screener for parents concerned with their child’s development. This affordable process provides peace of mind and much-needed direction for a child’s communication development.
Your child will work with a speech-language pathologist (SLP), also known as a speech therapist. Our licensed healthcare professionals specialize in diagnosing and treating communication delays and impairments.
A screener is a tool to determine if a child should receive a more comprehensive speech and language evaluation and possibly qualify for ongoing speech therapy services. If you’re concerned your child may need additional speech therapy or developmental support, a screener is the best next step.
We conduct screener sessions during the day at your child’s preschool/daycare, so there is no extra travel or scheduling needed on your part.
These 30-45 minute sessions are conducted in a separate area (to protect your child’s privacy and limit distraction). Afterward, we’ll send you a report summarizing the results and provide any clinical recommendations.
Your emailed results of the screener will state one of the following:
Your child scored within normal limits, and we do not recommend speech therapy at this time.
An evaluation is warranted to formally assess your child’s speech and language development.
To keep things affordable for all families, the cost of the screener is only $25 per child.
If the screener reveals that you need a formal evaluation to determine if your child qualifies for ongoing private speech therapy services and you’re interested in working with us, the screener fee will go towards the price of that future evaluation.
